Nature' s Treasure !

Skiathos Island

People think of Skiathos as a “cosmopolitan island”.Others call it “Aegean’s diamond” or “the island of the stars (celebrities)”.
The truth is that Skiathos island has as many names as virtues! Perfectly situated on the North Aegean, Skiathos is blessed with a spectacular natural beauty: it combines the glorious blue of the sea, the beautiful green of the pine tree forests and the bright white light that shines everyday due to the Aegean sun.

It was for all those beautiful characteristics that Skiathos was the selected location where the “Mamma Mia” movie was filmed. The island’s most famous beauties are its picturesque beaches: Koukounaries, “the large and the small Banana”, the beach of Agia Eleni, Agia Paraskevi, Kanapitsa, Megalos Gialos, Megali Ammos and Vromolimnos. Vasilias Beach (King's Beach)

Its royal charm is not the only reason this beautiful beach was named Vasilias (in Greek it means King). The beach -200 meters from Fiorella Sea View- took its name during the Byzantine era –the emperors used to spend their holidays here.

Today the picturesque beach is among the most beautiful ones in Skiathos island –it is being awarded with the Blue Flag every year! The gold sand together with the olive trees and the pine trees all around the beach offer the joy of beautiful natural surroundings and the comfort of necessary facilities –on site.

Yet, when the nigh comes, the island transforms completely. Modern bars create refreshing cocktails while the music urges the visitors to dance and sing together, thus uniting all of those awake to a big feast that lasts until the morning after.
